Panjab University Marks World Environment Day with Plantation Drives and Cleanliness Campaign

Panjab University celebrated World Environment Day with widespread plantation drives, eco-pledges, and a cleanliness Plog Run across hostels and academic blocks. Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig planted a sapling at the South Campus and motivated the university community to undertake extensive plantation during the upcoming monsoon season. Students participated in poster-making and slogan-writing competitions, while the PU NSS and NCC Wings raised awareness about energy conservation and waste management across the campus.

Panjab University celebrated June 5, 2024 as the World Environment Day. Cleanliness and tree plantation drive was organised along with oath taking ceremony under the Environment Education Programme .
