Dr Mahaldeep Kaur, who has recently completed her Ph.D. under supervision of Dr Rachna Singh, Dept of Microbial Biotechnology, Panjab University, has been selected as Visiting Fellow, U.S.A. National Institute of Health (NIH). She will join National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases, Maryland.

A project report entitled “Barriers to access Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) among injecting Drug users in Chandigarh: A mixed method study” was released by the Honourable Prof. Renu Vig Vice Chancellor Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Project was sanctioned to Population Research Centre and Centre for Social Work Panjab University Chandigarh by Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society. The Research Team comprised of Dr. Sukhbir Singh, Prof. Kumool Abbi and Dr. Gaurav Gaur.

Dr Indu Pal Kaur, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Chairperson UIPS, Panjab University Chandigarh was awarded with the prestigious NATIONAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AWARD 2021 & 2022 for being the “Top Indian Individual for Patents Filing, Grant & Commercialization”. Out of a total of more than 200 applications under the category (male and female), she had highest points and was awarded under the Female category.

Ranjot Kaur & Teenu Sharma (UIPS) were selected for Young Scientist Awards

Research fellows Ranjot Kaur and Teenu Sharma, working at the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, were selected for the Young Scientist Awards during an event of, ‘Disso Research Presentations India-2020 (DPRI-2020) - Online Presentations’. The event was organized by the Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS) and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). Ranjot Kaur, a UGC-Meritorious Senior Research Fellow at the UIPS, was the runner-up at the national-level contest. She has been working under the guidance of Prof Bhupinder Singh Bhoop (UIPS), along with Prof Om Prakash Katare (UIPS) and Prof Anupama Kaushik (UICET). [...]
