Science and technology have always been at the heart of human progress, fueling innovation, economic growth, and social transformation. In today’s world, their role has become even more vital in addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change, energy security, food systems, clean water, public health, and environmental protection—areas central to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
To advance this mission, the 2nd International Science and Technology Week will be held from 15–19 September 2025, under the theme “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development.” Building on the success of the inaugural edition in [insert year/place], the event will once again bring together leading researchers, innovators, educators, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the globe.
The Week will feature a rich program of keynote addresses, technical sessions, exhibitions, panel discussions, and capacity-building workshops. Discussions will center on critical areas including:
-
Renewable and clean energy
-
Sustainable materials and green chemistry
-
Biotechnology for food and health
-
Digital innovations for inclusive development
-
Emerging technologies for environmental management
By fostering dialogue among academia, industry, government, and civil society, the event aims to strengthen international cooperation and spark innovative approaches to global sustainability challenges. A special focus will also be on empowering young researchers and students, providing them with the opportunity to interact with international leaders in science and technology and inspire them to contribute towards building a sustainable future.
The International Science and Technology Week stands as a platform not only for sharing knowledge but also for shaping actionable solutions that align with the principles of sustainability, inclusivity, and equity.
