The US delegation had an engaging interaction with PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig, discussing sustainable development projects spearheaded by Panjab University. Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood today delivered the Panjab University(PU) Foundation Day Lecture-cum-Pran Nath Vohra Oration on the topic of 'India @2030 Marching Forward: Science and Technology Space in India'. PU also commemorated the 100th birth anniversary of Late Dr. Om Parkash Vig, a distinguished chemist and former Chairperson of Panjab University's Department of Chemistry by releasing a biography chronicling Late Dr.Vig’s life, achievements, and scientific contributions. A special cover release by Indian Post was also unveiled on the occasion.

PU-IIT Ropar Regional Accelerator for Holistic Innovations Foundation (PI-RAHI) concluded its two-day workshop on "Transforming Tomorrow: Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Agriculture, Health, and Ecosystem Resilience" supported by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration and Agri-tech collaborator iHub-Awadh@IIT Ropar. The event was conducted at Panjab University. The event, which took place on June 13 and 14, brought together experts from various fields to discuss the potential of AI in transforming these sectors.

The second day of the two-day Northern Zone Vice Chancellors Conference on the critical theme of "Implementation of NEP 2020," at Panjab University began with the conduct of ten breakout thematic sessions covering holistically all the dimensions related to issues of implementation and challenges for NEP 2020. Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a special lecture in hybrid mode by Professor Sanjay Srivastava, Professor of Political Science at BHU and currently the Vice Chancellor of Bihar Central University.
