Prof. Sonal Singhal , Department of Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh and her research group have recently developed a lab scale model for the eradication of toxic pollutants from wastewater. The model is based on the concept of wastewater treatment setup. Under this project, the research group has prepared a catalyst by utilizing the biomass derived from sugarcane bagasse. A Coffee Table Book (CTB) prepared by Panjab University Alumni Association was released by Prof. Renu Vig, honourable Vice Chancellor, Panjab University. The books highlights the the rich history of PU, the activities during last 2 years and various achievements of the university. Dr. Neeru Malik, Dean, of the Faculty of Design and Fine Arts, inaugurated the issue of the wall magazine on art created by the students of the Department of Art History and Visual Arts on 1.8.2023. She appreciated the original writings in the art magazine that has sections on art in Chandigarh and the Bauhaus effect, archaeology, and travel writing on visits to historic sites in Punjab and Haryana, an exhibition review, and original artworks on display.
