Panjab University, Chandigarh has demonstrated significant progress in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2024, released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The rankings, announced today by the Minister of Education, Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan, highlight PU’s upward trajectory in several key areas.
In the overall university category, Panjab University has secured the 38th position with an improved score of 55.11, up from 54.86 in 2023. Notably, PU has been ranked 5th among all state universities, earning a commendable score of 67.43.
On the innovation front, PU has maintained its position within the 11-50 bracket, consistent with its performance in 2023.
The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) at PU has also made significant strides, rising to 7th place among pharmaceutical institutions, an improvement from its 8th position last year. Similarly, the Dental Institute at PU has seen a substantial improvement, moving up to 27th place from 34th in 2023.
