Dr. SSBUICET, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized National Engineers Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sh. M. Visvesvareya (Bharat Ratna Awardee). An interaction with Prof. S.K. Sharma from Guru Gobind Singh Inderprastha University was held with students of the institute. He answered various queries regarding the scope of Chemical Engineering and Food Tech. and explained the responsibilities of an Engineer towards the society.
This was followed by expression of views by students of BE (Chemical), BE (Food Tech. ) and BE (Chemical with MBA) on the topic, ‘Role of Chemical Engineering in era of Artificial Intelligence’. Students enthusiastically participated in the discussion and presented their views on the usefulness of artificial intelligence for the Process Industry informed, the Chairperson, Prof. A.P.Toor. Around 175 students, faculty members, non-teaching staff was present during the event.
